Your Role on the Team
Position Summary: Under the general direction of the Registration Department Manager, incumbent is responsible for maintaining the daily operations, scheduling/planning, allocation and evaluation of the Emergency Registration Department. Acts as a control point for Emergency Registration issues. Responsible for coordination and staffing, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues, monitoring productivity, developing and/or coordinating staff training. Responds to patient services issues. Directs collection of productivity, quality assurance and statistical data.
What It Takes to be Successful
Required Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Eclypsis registration system
- Understanding of multiple insurance payor types, authorization processes, and registration requirements
- Strong customer service skills
- Requested member of implementation team for new scheduling system
- Previous supervisory experience
- Previous experience as a PAW supervisor in multiservice clinic site
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the work unit and across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of The Joint Commission requirements
- Strong recommendation from admissions team
- Previous experience in billing procedures
- Knowledge of UC policies and procedures
- Bilingual skills
