PEAK - Audio Visual Specialist
Job Description
This position is being filled through OU's PEAK Temporary Staffing Services.
EMBA at the Price College of Business needs someone who is confident with classroom technology, videoconference set up, and can comfortably work/interface with senior executives from the energy industry.
This assignment lasts from January 5th though January 12th.
Duties include
- Help instructors access their presentation materials, set up the classroom prior to the start of each course.
- Classes begin at 7:30am each morning.
- Assist students (who are also industry professionals) one on one with technical questions regarding their laptops, wifi access, login issues, etc
- Set up and support video conferences for guest speakers, as well as for Board meeting on January 9.
- Stay on call and nearby as classes run to provide technical support as needed.
- Can work with PCB IT staff for guidance, but they do not have the time to commit to help
Job Requirements
Required: Bachelor's degree; AND:
24 months of experience in audio-visual troubleshooting, support, installation, engineering, or system design.
Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 72 months' related experience.
Certifications or Licenses:
Valid Driver's License to drive OU vehicles.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Ability to speak, read and write clear, concise English
- Strong written and oral communication
- Excellent time management, organization skills
- Experience in scheduling and conducting meetings
- Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Detail oriented
- Customer service experience.
- Basic knowledge of enterprise technologies such as networks, storage, identity management, cloud services, security, Windows OS, Mac OS, desktop solutions, Microsoft Office suite, etc.
- Familiarity with video conferencing solutions and with emerging technologies
- Contributes to continual improvement
Working Conditions:
Ability to lift heavy objects in excess of 50+ lbs. Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. Ability to climb, crouch, bend, or stoop. Ability to engage in repetitive motions. Ability to perform overhead-work and work in confined spaces. Ability to work in any place including above or below ground level and on ladders.
Standard Office Work Environment.
Salary Range: $20.00/hr
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday; 7:30am - 5pm
