PEC Communications Manager

The Modern Slavery and Human Rights Policy and Evidence Centre is seeking an experienced Communications Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality communications that support its mission to influence policy and strengthen responses to modern slavery and human trafficking.

Working closely with the Centre Manager and the Humanities Division’s communications teams, you will manage key elements of the Centre’s communications strategy. This includes producing clear, engaging content for a range of audiences; managing the Centre’s website and social media channels; supporting events and campaigns; and evaluating the impact of communications activity. You will also provide advice and training to colleagues, ensure communications align with University branding, and help coordinate activity across internal and external stakeholders.

About you

You will have extensive professional communications experience across digital, print and social media, excellent writing and editing skills, and a proven ability to communicate complex ideas to non-specialist audiences. You will be confident working independently, comfortable advising senior colleagues, and proficient in using digital tools and content management systems. A strong interest in digital innovation, including the role of AI in communications, is essential.

Experience in higher education, a professional qualification in communications or marketing, or an interest in human rights and public policy would be an advantage.
