Pediatric Allergist/Immunologist
Job Summary
The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is recruiting a Pediatric Allergist/Immunologist to join our growing team. We are looking for candidates with a track record of clinical excellence and academic contributions as demonstrated through training and/or practice experience.
- This position is full or part-time, 50%-100%
- This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location.
- This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.
- Applicants for this position will be considered for the titles: Assistant Professor (CHS), Associate Professor (CHS), Professor (CHS), Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor. The title is determined by the experience and qualifications of the finalist.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Opportunities to participate and lead clinical research in allergy/immunology related areas collaboratively with other SMPH faculty.
- Physicians hired on the Clinical Health Sciences (CHS) track will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.
- Clinical expectations include providing outpatient clinical care for pediatric patients with allergic diseases, asthma, positive newborn SCID screens, inborn errors of immunity, and inpatient consultations for patients admitted to the American Family Children's Hospital.
- Participate in clinical teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students, and support the teaching and clinical research in Pediatric Allergy-Immunology missions of the division and department.
