This vacancy is being announced simultaneously with

two job postings allows the School of Medicine and Public Health to
consider candidates on both the CHS and CT tracks.
This position will be a dual appointment with UW Madison and UW
Medical Foundation.
This position has been identified as a position of trust with
access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be
required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for
employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four
years.
The department will not be able to support a request for a J-1

Key Job Responsibilities:
Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
Participate in administrative and committee work to support the
clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of
Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will
be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty
members.

School of Medicine and Public Health/Department of Neurology
The Department of Neurology has over 60 faculty and 25 advanced
practice providers located at 20 S. Park/Meriter Hospital,
University of Wisconsin Hospitals and UW Health Clinics. This is a
diverse group of generalists and specialists that provides primary,
secondary, and tertiary inpatient and outpatient care. The
successful candidate will join a world-class institution that
encourages, values and supports interdisciplinary basic, clinic and
population health research, and attracts scholars and students from

Compensation:
The starting salary for the position is negotiable based on
experience and qualifications.

Required Qualifications:
- Must have completed a child neurology residency program,
fellowship trained in Epilepsy, Stroke, Neuroimmunology, Movement
Disorders, or equivalent experience.
- Candidates must be board eligible or board certified in one of
the following: American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) or
American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry
(AOBNP).
- Must have a WI medical license by the start date.
Preferred Qualifications:
- For an appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on
CHS Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the
department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public
Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or
Professor on the CHS Track.
Education:
MD or DO or equivalent is required by the start date.
