Depending on the research question, students may use transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, high-content imaging, genetic perturbation and small-molecule probes to identify and validate causal mechanisms. Candidate pathways will be investigated through protein-interaction studies, biochemical reconstitution, subcellular localisation, pathway analysis, mouse models and cell-type-specific genetics.

Projects may focus on fibrosis, cancer, inflammatory, metabolic or cardiovascular diseases. Applicants from biomedical sciences, molecular biology, medicine, pharmacology, bioinformatics and chemistry are welcome.

Competitive scholarships are available. Candidates must apply separately for scholarship support. Funding is not guaranteed and is awarded based on academic merit.
