Senior Technical Officer: Electronic (HEO 5)
- Based in UniSA STEM at the Mawson Lakes campus
- Full-time, continuing position
- Commencement salary: $76,304 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)
About You
You are skilled in electronics engineering. It is likely you will have expertise in designing, programming, fabricating, operating and maintaining specialist electronic equipment. You communicate well and enjoy collaborating in a team. Workplace health and safety (WHS) is front of mind in your day to day work. About the Role
Reporting to the Manager: Technical Services (Electrical, Electronics and IT), you will be responsible for applying your electronic expertise within a workshop setting. You will help undergraduate and postgraduate students with their projects and research activities as well as maintain the electronics equipment. You will occasionally provide support to projects within the Future Industries Institute, as well as look after STEM Aviation’s Boeing and Airbus like flight simulators.

Essential Skills and Experience
- Qualifications/Trade Certificate in electronic/electrical engineering or a relevant discipline
- Expert knowledge one or more of the following areas: electronics, embedded systems, mechatronics, industrial control systems, or electrical power systems
- Analytical skills appropriate to effective problem solving and support for a diverse group of users
- Diagnostic skills with demonstrated experience in applying theoretical knowledge to conceptual design and ability to communicate complex technical matters
- Demonstrated understanding of best practice WHS principles and procedures
