ABOUT THE ROLE
As a per course instructor at the rank of Lecturer OR Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Huron University College, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality undergraduate experience in a small, liberal arts context. Joining a vibrant and close-knit community of faculty, we are looking for candidates to teach some or all of the following undergraduate courses:
Philosophy 2665F: Introduction to Jewish Philosophy I
September to December: Tuesdays 3:30-5:30; Thursdays 2:30-3:30
Philosophy 1370G: Form, Thought, Communication
January to April: Mondays 10:30-11:30; Wednesdays 9:30-11:30
Philosophy 2264G: Philosophy of Money
January to April: Mondays 12:30-2:30; Wednesdays 1:30-2:30
Philosophy 2813G: Nationalism and Political Morality
January to April: Wednesdays 11:30-12:30; Fridays 11:30-1:30
Philosophy 2820G: Philosophy of War and Peace
January to April: Tuesdays 12:30-1:30; Thursdays 11:30-1:30
These courses have already been timetabled, so applicants must be available to teach in-person at these times.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completed or currently enrolled in a Ph.D. (ABD) in Philosophy.
- Evidence of excellence in undergraduate teaching.
