Per Diem-Anesthesia Technician-Anesthesia-Los Alamitos-Variable

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Director of Surgical Services and/or Clinical Nurse Manager, the Central Supply Instrument Technician cares for instruments and supplies by cleaning, organizing and wrapping them in approved manner conducive to sterilization and disinfection techniques.

Required Qualifications:

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
• Knowledge of the surgical environment and aseptic technique.
• BLS certification
• Knowledge of preparation and use of anesthesia delivery systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Membership of the American Society of Anesthesiology Technicians/Technologists.
