Position Summary
Works to ensure all echocardiograms and vascular studies are performed to the accrediting body standard, ensuring patient safety and performing quality studies, call required.
What It Takes to be Successful
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiology or cardiovascular technician.
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer ARDMS- RDCS or CCI- RCS credentials. Second registry must be either as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or registered Pediatric echo sonographer via the registering bodies.
- New grads will be required to provide registered diagnostic sonographer credentials in 2 modalities.
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
- Minimum of two years working within cardiovascular department.
- Adult transthoracic
- Pediatric transthoracic
- TEE
- Carotid ultrasound
- Peripheral vascular ultrasound
- Has full command (verbal and written) of the English language. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
