"Per Diem-Medical Records Technician Assistant-Medical Records-Days"

Position Summary: This position is responsible for prepping, scanning and indexing medical records into the computerized medical record system. Other duties include responding to requests for medical information, answering telephones and general office duties. This position reports directly to the Health Information Services Director.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to multitask and work independently.
• Must be computer literate and have experience working with a computerized medical record system.
• No licensure required.
• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous acute care experience in a hospital preferred.
• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms.
