Work Experience: Entry-Level (Foundational)
Work Experience Description: Suitable for students with basic foundational knowledge and little to no practical experience, ideal for freshmen or sophomores who have completed only introductory courses.
Department: Theater
Position Scope: Performs various types of cultural dances. Attends practice sessions to upgrade the quality of performance of current dances. Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the management.
Requirements:
- Must be able to learn, and subsequently perform, the various dances of each assigned Polynesian cultures.
- Requires good health and a full range of body movement and be capable of moving freely among the guests.
- Must look Polynesian.
- Must be able to communicate in English.
- Should have a grammar school education.
- Previous Polynesian dancing experience preferred.
- Must attach a copy of resume and current semester class schedule (Weekly View).
- MUST BE AVAILABLE THROUGH SUMMER BREAK.
Work Schedule: 10 hours (Schedule TBD)
Base Rate Per Hour: $14.00
All applicants must be available for an on-site interview at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, HI.
Approximate starting hourly rate: $14.00 - $16.00. The wage offered could be above or below range based on education and experience as it relates to the job description.
