Job Profile: Client-Based Researcher I
Job Summary:
Researches and adapts methodology, conducts pharmaceutical data collection and analysis, and prepares reports for client-based research.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Reviews and edits research protocols under general supervision
- Help manage material inventory by ordering supplies as needed and documentation of material receipt according to SOP
- Prepares reports and materials and disseminates information to appropriate entities
- Collects and analyzes basic research data, conducts experiments and interviews, and documents results according to established policies and procedures
- Identifies concerns and recommends solutions to leadership
- Assists with the development of research methodologies and procedures according to client-based objectives and specifications
- Document daily receipt of samples, and prepare corresponding word documents for notebook documentation
- Trains individuals and groups on equipment operations, research protocols, and techniques within a specialized laboratory or research area
Department:
The Zeeh Pharmaceutical Experiment Station, within the School of Pharmacy, is a not-for-profit center of expertise serving faculty researchers across the UW-Madison campus as well as private sector pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical product development and drug delivery.
Compensation:
Qualified candidates can expect to earn between $47,000 and $53,000. Candidates who are highly qualified may earn between $53,000 and $70,000.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in HPLC analysis and method development
- Experience with aseptic technique inside a biosafety cabinet
- Experience with training developing scientists on lab equipment and processes
- Experience with GLP documentation practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with USP regulatory guidance
- Experience with outreach to internal and external partners
- Experience with pharmaceutical and drug delivery instruction
Education:
Required PhD in pharmaceutical science, chemistry or, related field
