Position Summary
AUIB is seeking a dynamic and experienced part-time pharmacist to drive its mission of improving the health and wellness of our communities. In this pivotal role, the Full-time pharmacist will review prescriptions, dispense medications. deliver and label medications & provide information and advice to patients. Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing prescriptions,
- Dispense medications.
- Delivering and labeling medications,
- Providing information and advice to patients
- Organizing and indexing pharmacy medications.
- Respond to requests during and after working hours.
- Working on pharmacy paperwork including daily and weekly reports.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Should be thorough, patient, and able to stay calm under pressure
- Should have excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
- Should evaluate the contents and side effects of prescribed medication to ensure the patient’s safety.
- Should explain to patients about how to take medication and what its potential side effects are.
- Should educate the patients about using or administering their medications.
Education and Experience
- Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in pharmacology from a recognized educational institution.
- Years of Relevant Experience: minimum 5 years of experience
- Specific Skills or Expertise: Fluent in Arabic and English language with excellent communication skills.
- Additional Certifications: additional training and internationally respected certificates are preferred
