Research activities will focus on the preclinical and clinical study of drugs—including their mechanisms of action, pharmacokinetics, efficacy, and safety—while taking into account genetic variability, interactions, and pathophysiological conditions. In-depth study will be devoted to clinical pharmacology, pharmacovigilance, pharmacoepidemiology, and pharmacoeconomics, with particular attention paid to the personalization and appropriateness of therapies, as well as to addiction and doping.
