PhD Candidate Implementation of Pharmacogenetics in P4CARE Study

Job Summary

Our mission is to apply pharmacogenetic tests effectively for individuals with depression and anxiety disorders in primary care. This role involves researching the implementation process of a pharmacogenetic passport through the P4CARE study, which examines whether a DNA passport helps healthcare providers treat patients more effectively, reducing side effects, visits, and referrals. The study compares standard treatment with DNA-based treatment and aims to provide evidence for cost-effectiveness and develop an implementation roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct literature research.
  • Organize multi-stakeholder expert meetings.
  • Collect data through interviews and expert meetings.
  • Analyze collected data.
  • Write scientific manuscripts.
  • Attend national and international conferences.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A relevant completed academic (research) master's degree, such as in health sciences, pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, biomedical sciences, medicine, or a comparable field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain contacts and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative scientific research and literature research.
  • Broad interest in the implementation of biomedical knowledge, healthcare organization, and policy.
  • Fluent in both Dutch and English, spoken and written.

What the Employer Offers

  • A contract for 12 months, with the intention to extend to a total of 4 years.
  • Salary scale for OIO: €3,108 to €3,939 gross per month for a full-time position, depending on education and experience; for physicians, scale 10: €3,598 to €5,669 gross per month.
  • 190.4 vacation hours per year for a full-time position, with the option to save hours.
  • Pension buildup with BeFrank.
  • 100% public transport reimbursement for commutes of 7 km or more, or €0.18 per km for personal transport up to 40 km.
  • Bicycle allowance of €0.18 per km.
