About the Project
- The ORGIMP project studies how health research funding organisations can better manage and follow up research projects to maximize their societal and healthcare impact.
- Partners include the Norwegian Cancer Society, Dam Foundation, and South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority.
- The project analyses funding portfolios, project reports, and interviews to understand how funding, collaboration, and management influence outcomes.
- It tracks selected initiatives over three years to understand “impact in the making.”
- The goal is to provide practical recommendations for funders and policymakers to support research that delivers both academic results and societal benefits.
- Led by Professor Magnus Gulbrandsen with Associate Professor Silje Tellmann co-leading.
Candidate Profile
- Background in science and/or innovation studies, ideally with skills in both qualitative and quantitative empirical methods.
- Master’s degree (2 years or equivalent) in relevant social sciences or humanities discipline.
- High academic quality (grade A or B).
- Experience with empirical studies related to science, innovation, or similar is an advantage.
- Fluent in English (oral and written) and knowledge of a Scandinavian language (due to Norwegian data sources).
- Residency in or near Oslo required.
- Active participation in project activities, seminars, and workshops expected.
Qualification and Assessment
- Candidates will be evaluated on:
- Quality and relevance of project proposal
- Academic grades and experience
- Personal and communication skills, curiosity, and cooperation abilities
- Potential to complete the project in the allotted timeframe
- Interview will be part of the hiring process for shortlisted candidates.
