Overview
Our incoming cohorts are small by choice. On average we bring in nine PhD students each year.
Because of the applied nature of our program, our students have diverse backgrounds: from economics, to engineering and physics.

- Your letter of intent should clearly address how your interests match those of the department. Please refer to the departmental website for specific guidelines for writing your letter of intent.

- If your topics covered in your math courses are not clear from the course title (e.g., Mathematical Economics, Mathematics I, etc), please upload a document that provides the catalog description of the course.
- Three (3) letters of recommendation are required.
