The Medical Sciences course at University of Nicosia enables students to become independent researchers, thus advancing innovation and development. Following the completion of their PhD, graduates will develop capabilities that will allow them to carry out and lead independent research, to innovate and to push forward the frontiers of science and medicine.

Graduates may pursue careers in academia, biomedical and clinical research institutes, the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, government and regulatory agencies, public health organisations, and national or international bodies involved in health policy, research, and regulation. For graduates with a clinical background, the degree may also support research-oriented roles that complement clinical practice.

Please note that a Medical degree is the minimum entry requirement for the Medical School’s doctoral programme.
