Offer Description
The work will involve numerical simulations based on the GEANT4 software package, including optical photon transport simulations in the crystals and simulations of the detector response to ββ decays and background events, performed on a computing grid. Measurements of the optical properties of the crystals (light yield, emission and absorption spectra, refractive index, and surface effects) will be carried out on dedicated test benches at LP2iB and IJCLab (France).
