Offer Description
We are looking for candidates to join the Nucleosides and Analogues as a Source of Bioactive Molecules Group at the Institute of Medicinal Chemistry and Biomedicine (IQMB-CSIC, Madrid, Spain). The position is linked to the research project:
"Blocking Critical Events in West Nile Virus Replication through the Development of Innovative Antivirals Targeting Viral and Host Factors (NEXTGENAVIR)" (PID2025-169764OR-C22).
The selected candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment in the field of medicinal chemistry, molecular modelling and antiviral research. The project will involve the design and optimization of novel antiviral molecules using computational and structure-based approaches, contributing to the development of innovative therapeutic strategies against WNV and other emerging flaviviruses.

Education Level: Master Degree or equivalent
Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, or related disciplines.
- Master's degree granting access to a PhD programme.
- Previous experience in molecular modelling, computational chemistry, computer-aided drug design, bioinformatics, scientific programming, or related areas will be highly valued
