Job profile:
Your responsibilities:
- PhD thesis on the development of an experiment for cryogenic ion spectroscopy
- Independent research, in particular the construction of an apparatus for cryogenic leak-out spectroscopy
- Planning, conducting and analysing experiments on ion spectroscopy
- Independent teaching
- Supervising students on practical placements, contributing to teaching
- Training and professional development
- Administrative duties
Your profile:
- Completed a Master's, Magister or Diploma degree in a related field, e.g. Physics, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Analytical skills and flexibility
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Goal-oriented approach, ability to set priorities and project management
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: ion spectroscopy, instrument development, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), programming of controllers, digital electronics, radio-frequency electronics
- Please include a written proposal outlining your PhD research project with your application (max. 5 pages)
