Job profile:
Your responsibilities:
- A PhD thesis in the field of foreign language teaching and learning, with a focus on research into foreign language acquisition in a school context
- Independent research in the field (primarily for the doctoral thesis)
- Independent teaching
- Contribution to (cross-linguistic) teaching in the Languages Unit of the Department of Subject-Specific Education
- Training and professional development
- Administrative duties
Your profile:
- A completed teacher training degree (Diplom/Master's) in a modern language by the start of employment; French is preferred
- Diploma or Master's thesis, preferably in the field of language education (please attach as a .pdf document);
- Please include written reflections on your proposed dissertation topic (max. 3 pages) with your application
- Creative problem-solving skills, ability to work in a team; pedagogical and didactic skills
- Proficiency in at least one of the following languages (preferably French) at the specified level: French, Italian or Spanish: C1 according to the CEFR; English: C2 according to the CEFR; German proficiency, if not your first language: C1 according to the CEFR;
- Desirable: Sufficient knowledge of research approaches and research methods in foreign language teaching
