PhD position in multi-agent modeling of integrated heating-electricity systems
Job Description
Energy systems are undergoing rapid changes, both in terms of electrical power generation and the transition in heating sectors. This PhD position focuses on techno-economic models, particularly multi-agent modeling, for energy exchange and flexibility in positive energy districts (PEDs). Key topics include modeling peer-to-peer energy exchanges, coalitional models for sharing joint infrastructure, and solutions for network congestion.
Requirements
Candidates should have a background in computer science, mathematics, or electrical engineering, with an interest in energy systems modeling, AI, and agent-based techniques. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in an interdisciplinary environment are essential.
Conditions of Employment
The position is for 4 years, with an initial 18-month contract extendable upon positive evaluation. Salary ranges from €2,968 to €3,801 per month, including holiday allowance and year-end bonus. Location: Science Park 123, Amsterdam.
