As part of our recently announced call for 11 PhD positions within CRC/SFB 1739, we're highlighting a project decoding the molecular mechanisms of periodontal-immune interactions during mechanically induced periodontal ligament remodeling, supervised by Dr. ing. Jitske Jansen and Prof. Horst Fischer.
You will use stem cell-derived human in vitro models combined with hydrogels and advanced bioreactors, identify novel targets from omics datasets, and validate them via genetic/pharmacological perturbation — applying single-cell RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptomics to build a translational data atlas.
Looking for: MSc in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or related field.
