Offer Description
The PhD project explores a new approach to photocatalysis based on boron compounds whose properties can be controlled by light. The project aims to develop molecular systems in which electronic state and reactivity can be modulated through photochemical stimuli, enabling selective access to distinct modes of catalytic reactivity. The research combines molecular design and synthesis, structural and photophysical characterization, mechanistic studies, and photocatalysis. The PhD research will contribute to developing and understanding these new systems and demonstrating their potential in selective chemical transformations, including in polymerization and chemical recycling processes.
