- Experience in biomedical research and proficiency in molecular and cellular biology techniques.
- A competitive scientific track record appropriate to the candidate's career stage, including publications resulting from their research activity.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, plan experiments, and analyse and interpret results.

- Experience in inflammatory bowel disease, immunology, inflammation, biomarkers, or related fields.
- Experience with cell cultures, organoids, or other experimental models.
- Knowledge of molecular characterisation techniques and DNA/RNA, protein, or extracellular vesicle analysis.
- Experience in biological data analysis, bioinformatics, or omics data integration.
- Research stays at international institutions and previous success in obtaining competitive fellowships or research contracts.
- Good command of scientific English and scientific manuscript writing skills.
