PURPOSE OF THE RESEARCH: RESEARCH AREA: Scientific and technical assessment of emerging contaminants, ecosystem health, biomarkers of animal health and welfare, and proposals for environmental management in marine biological samples. For a PhD holder working 25 hours per week, with a gross monthly salary. For a salary of €1,725.00 per month – which is the figure closest to your proposal – this entails allocating a total of €40,023.63 to the project.
Tasks:
- Production of public-facing and scientific-technical content; the maintenance and updating of digital platforms and social media associated with the project; and participation in the kick-off, closing and knowledge transfer events.
- Management of the collection, transport and initial characterisation of biological and environmental samples, particularly along the Andalusian coastline.
- Prioritising pharmacological compounds for chemical analysis and the integrated interpretation of results relating to the bioaccumulation of pollutants, ecosystem health and potential sources of pollution in marine ecosystems.
- Testing, interpreting and contextualising biomarkers of animal health and welfare, conducting ecosystem assessments and developing proposals to support environmental management based on the information generated by the project.
