The PhD program of national interest in "Artistic Research on Musical Heritage" has 10 curricula:
- Preservation of Musical Heritage
- Immersive Technologies Applied to Music
- Music Historiography and Philology
- Music Librarianship and Bibliography
- Sound and Creative Arts
- Musical Performance and Performing Arts
- New Musical Languages
- Music Pedagogy and Didactics
- Music Therapy and Neuroscience
- Performance and Audience.
It addresses research within the field of higher artistic and musical education through multidisciplinary and innovative approaches capable of meeting current needs for knowledge, protection, and enhancement of musical heritage. To this end, PhD candidates are provided with a broad range of knowledge and skills based on an approach that is as cross-disciplinary as possible, able to bridge traditional musical/musicological disciplines with scientific/technological ones.
