RESEARCH:
- Research conducted in the group of Prof. Dr. Meyer zu Hörste
- Combines basic experimental models with patient-derived specimens
- Utilizes cutting-edge technologies
- Long-standing interest in advancing the understanding of human neuro-immunology
- Focus on analysis of: Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), Meningeal leukocytes
- Applied methods: Multi-dimensional flow cytometry, Single-cell and single-nucleus transcriptomics
- Relevant publications: PubMed 38750052, PubMed 33382973
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research focus on mechanisms of brain border immunology, including CSF and meninges
- Application of: Multi-dimensional flow cytometry, Animal models, Single-cell / single-nucleus transcriptomics
- Integration with the Biology in Context Core Unit
REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of relevant methods and concepts of cellular immunology
- Multi-dimensional flow cytometry and / or sorter experience
- Single cell or spatial transcriptomics methods are a plus
- High degree of motivation, willingness to learn and team spirit
- Strong sense of responsibility, organisational skills, high reliability and flexibility
- Good written and oral communication skills in English are mandatory
- German speaking skills are not required
This is a wet-lab position, so applicants with a purely (bio)informatics background will not be considered.
