We are looking for a student who will have completed a B.S. in a biology-related field by August 2027 with a minimum 3.0 GPA, and who has prior research experience. Students with research experience in one or more of the following areas are especially encouraged to apply:
· Molecular Biology and Genetics
· Computational Biology, including Genomics and Molecular Evolution
· Plant physiology, including phenotyping
Joining the DeTar Lab will provide opportunities for cross-disciplinary training, hands-on experience with modern approaches in plant science, and intensive mentorship from the PI. Students will also benefit from interactions with an excellent department and a broader research community with a strong focus on evolutionary biology.
This is an excellent opportunity for a student who is excited to develop as a scientist while gaining experience across multiple areas of plant physiology, evolutionary biology, molecular biology, and genomics.
