Open position 14 in the project: Center of Digital Excellence for Cultural Heritage: Innovation in Digitization and Digital Exploitation through Cutting-Edge Technologies (acronym CulTech), project code PN-IV-P6-6.1-CoEx-2024-0206, contract number 3CoEx/2026

Job description:

The successful candidate will:

• participates in the development and validation of a methodology for creating a Digital Twin for intangible cultural heritage,
• participate in the development of emerging technologies for cultural heritage:
• participate in digital restoration and reconstruction of cultural heritage:
• contribute to the design and implementation of multimodal interaction with cultural heritage in order to open wide access to cultural heritage through digital solutions:
• participates in the dissemination of research results by publishing and presenting results related to XR technologies and digital applications for cultural heritage in scientific journals indexed in international databases (ISI/BDI).
• ensures compliance with the obligations arising from the financing contract.

• Experience of VR/AR based interactive virtual environments,
• Team working experience,
• Experience in building high complexity software solutions,

Specific Requirements

Higher education, Informatics / Computer Science, master's degree. PhD student in the field of Computers and Information Technology focused on cultural heritage digitization, Proven experience related to digitization and virtual reconstruction of cultural heritage;

• experience in developing augmented reality (AR) applications;
• experience in developing distributed systems applications;
• experience in designing and implementation of high complexity software solutions;
• programming languages (C#/.NET++), Computer Vision (minimum OpenCV);
• knowledge and practical experience in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLMs), and the experimental evaluation of AI systems.

• ROMANIAN — Level: Mother Tongue
• ENGLISH — Level: Excellent
