Position description
This PhD project will perform a coordinated analysis of multipoint in situ measurements and numerical simulations performed with the ion-kinetic Vlasiator code to quantify how interplanetary shocks modify solar wind current sheets across a range of scales. The research will be conducted within University of Helsinki Space Physics Group and will involve collaboration with leading experts in the field from Europe and the United States.
