Offer Description
Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași is organising a competition within the research project entitled "Spatial Disparities and Local Development Factors: Theory vs Empirical Evidence vs Perception of Local Public Actors", acronym TEPS, funding contract no. 86TE / 08.01.2025, to fill 2 PhD Student positions, part-time (20 hours/month for each position), fixed-term (from the completion of the competition until 31.12.2026)

- Contributing to the drafting of a scientific article within the team;
- Participation in conferences/workshops.

a) PhD student status in the field of the position at the date of the competition;
b) Advanced skills in spatial analysis and cartography using GIS software (QGIS, ArcGIS), or previous experience/training in RStudio.

Selection process
Competition stages
a) Application file – 40%;
b) Interview – 60%.
Minimum score for each stage: 8 (eight)
Contents of the application file:
- application form for the competition, accompanied by the candidate's declaration pursuant to art. 170 para. (1) letter a) of Law no. 199 of 4 July 2023 on higher education;
- curriculum vitae in Europass format;
- copies of documents certifying the level of education and, where applicable, other documents proving completed specialisations;
- documents certifying that the specific requirements of the position are met;
- copy of the identity document or any other valid document certifying identity, according to the law;
- copy of the marriage certificate or other document certifying a change of name, where applicable;
- copy of the employment record book or, where applicable, a certificate issued by the employer for the period worked, attesting to length of service and experience in the field of study required for the position (if applicable);
- medical certificate attesting to an appropriate state of health, issued by the candidate's family doctor or by authorised healthcare units no more than 6 months before the competition;
- criminal record certificate or, where applicable, an extract from the criminal record;
- certificate of behavioural integrity.
