Requirements
Essential qualifications:
- Master's degree in bioinformatics, molecular biology, computer science, or a related field;
- Strong bioinformatics skills, including programming in a Linux environment (Bash, R, Python) and familiarity with commonly used bioinformatics tools;
- Good knowledge of molecular biology and an interest in epigenetics and/or developmental biology;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Additional qualifications:
- Experience with NGS techniques (RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, WGBS, etc.);
- Experience with chromatin conformation analysis techniques (Chromosome Conformation Capture-based methods).
Responsibilities
- Perform the majority of bioinformatics analyses using analytical pipelines and procedures developed by dr Michał Gdula;
- Further develop analytical methodologies and adapt them to the project's needs at later stages;
- Contribute to the management and maintenance of the laboratory's GitHub account;
- Work closely with the research assistant and postdoctoral researcher on the analysis of NGS data generated in their experiments;
- Participate in experimental design and planning;
- Represent the laboratory at scientific conferences.
