Your responsibilities:
- PhD thesis in the field of statistics
- Independent research in the field of probabilistic modelling, statistical inference and machine learning, with potential applications to practical problems
- Independent teaching
- Supporting research work, participation in research projects, and assistance with teaching and examination duties
- Training and professional development
- Administrative duties
Your profile:
- A relevant completed Master, Magister or Diplom degree in the fields of statistics, data science, mathematics or economics, with a specialisation in statistics or econometrics
- Very good knowledge of mathematics, particularly probability theory and statistics
- Proven programming experience in a high-level programming language (particularly R or Python)
- Excellent command of English, excellent command of German is a plus
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Please include with your application a comprising a covering letter, CV and academic transcripts and a written outline of your proposed dissertation topic (approx. 1 page)
