"Philosophy Part-Time Instructor Pool 2025-2026"

The Department of Philosophy and Religion in the College of Arts & Letters at The University of Tampa invites applications for part-time instructors in Philosophy.

Responsibilities include:

• Create a syllabus and course-related materials in accord with department guidelines.
• Teach course according to departmental guidelines.
• Provide meeting times outside of class.
• Administer a final exam during the University-specified final exam period at the end of the semester.
• Complete course grading and submit final grades through the on-line system.

The successful candidate will have:

• A minimum of a Master's Degree or equivalent (e.g., 'ABD' status and in good standing in Ph.D. program) in Philosophy with at least 18 credit hours in philosophy.
• College teaching experience preferred.

Applications for part-time positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed by the department when openings become available. Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis which may include fall, spring and summer.
