Physical Geology, Department of Applied Sciences and Professional Studies - Adjunct Faculty
Physical Geology (GEOL 100):
An introductory study of geology, encompassing the Earth, the materials that constitute its makeup, the structure of those materials, and the processes acting on them. The goal is to understand geological principles and how humans affect geological processes. Topics include the rocks and minerals composing Earth, the movement within Earth, and its surface features and the agents that form them and our environment. Discussion also covers energy and mineral resources.
Required Education and Experience
- Master's degree in Geology, Earth Science, or related field of learning; and professional experience in a related field. The degree must be from an accredited institution of higher learning.
- Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred.
- This position is designated to teach on-site at Fort Gordon, GA.
