Position Overview

The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at The Ohio State University is seeking a full-time Vitreoretinal Surgeon Ophthalmologist. The successful candidate will be responsible for patient care, research, and education in Surgical Retina at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Department/Division Overview

The Ohio State University Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences has been established for over 100 years. The Havener Eye Institute features state-of-the-art facilities with on-site outpatient surgical centers.

Duties and Responsibilities

Faculty members are expected to perform teaching, research/scholarship, and service. Clinical services include patient care at OSUWMC facilities. Participation in departmental committees and professional organizations is required.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Board-eligible or board-certified in Ophthalmology.
• Hold an MD or DO degree with completed residency in Ophthalmology and fellowship in Surgical Retina.
• Demonstrated interest in scholarship and commitment to education.
