Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain foundational emergency management plans for the University
• Develop and maintain emergency preparedness and business continuity plans for URI's departments and programs
• Coordinate with faculty, staff, and student groups
• Lead development of outreach activities
• Design and distribute public information materials
• Provide support at OEM meetings, events, and exercises
• Conduct after action reviews using HSEEP format
• Write plans, procedures, and program documents
• Assist with EOC maintenance and activation
• Support EMAP accreditation efforts
• Assist with emergency notification system
• Assist with social media campaign

Other duties include responding to incidents, liaising with agencies, and performing additional tasks as required.
