Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain foundational emergency management plans for the University
- Develop and maintain emergency preparedness and business continuity plans for URI's departments and programs
- Coordinate with faculty, staff, and student groups
- Lead development of outreach activities
- Design and distribute public information materials
- Provide support at OEM meetings, events, and exercises
- Conduct after action reviews using HSEEP format
- Write plans, procedures, and program documents
- Assist with EOC maintenance and activation
- Support EMAP accreditation efforts
- Assist with emergency notification system
- Assist with social media campaign
Other duties include responding to incidents, liaising with agencies, and performing additional tasks as required.
