The Facilities, Planning Department is seeking (1) Planning Program Manager to join the already awesome team, taking the Facilities, Planning Department to the next level of excellence!

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Planning Program Manager coordinates the oversight of facilities planning activities, including space management, pre-planning, planning studies, capital planning, and assisting with the management of space data and building floor plans. In addition to supporting the department, the Planning Program Manager's duties will generally fall into one of the following groupings, although overlapping of duties may occur as needed:
- Conducts critical analysis of space allocation proposals.
- Maintains the space request tracker spreadsheet.
- Produce computer-aided drawings, graphics, and photos for analysis and presentation.
- Support the Capital Planning & Space Allocation Committee (CPSAC) by preparing agendas and meeting minutes.
- Prepares project program including scope, cost, and schedule analysis.
- Prepares facilities-related funding requests.
- Coordinates analyses related to short- and long-term facilities needs of campus units and translates programmatic activities into physical space requirements.
- Coordinates consultant selection process for campus planning studies.
- Negotiate fees and drafts consulting agreements.
- Directs client and consultant meetings.
- Monitors and approves progress payments.
- Monitors the inclusion of additions and renovations to base drawings
- Assists in preparation of documents required by the BOR for project authorization, including proposed project scopes, budgets, schedules, and agenda items.
- Monitors expenditure of funds for capital and MRR projects in accordance with bond spend-down requirements.
- Coordinate with the Facilities Information Systems team to ensure that CPSAC approvals are updated in the database.
Qualifications
Minimum Hiring Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design, or a closely related field and three years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Hiring Requirements:
- Proven experience with architectural and interior space planning.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with project scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Ability to interpret, analyze, and evaluate architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capable of performing site visits and physical tasks such as walking, climbing ladders, and accessing non-confined spaces.
