Position Description
Performs skilled work of the journeyman level involving the installation, maintenance and service of plumbing systems. Work involves installing, maintaining, repairing and servicing gas, water, air and sewer lines. Also involves maintaining existing steam systems. This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Major/Essential Functions
- Initiate work order through work control for any trade upon notice of building system deficiency. Submits to the supervisor a written detail of the deficiency.
- Documents and records work accomplished, time expended, and parts used on appropriate forms and in the CMMS system.
- Carries out oral and written instructions to perform related work as directed or required by the direct supervisor.
- Performs on-call duties as an essential personnel of the institution and at the direction of the institution.
- Operates state vehicles as necessary to go to job site, pick up parts, or run job related errands.
