Perform basic repairs on plumbing fixtures, circulating pumps, and sump pumps under direct supervision.Assist in clearing clogged lines using basic mechanical and chemical methods.Help thaw frozen pipes using standard trade tools and safety procedures.Learn to measure, cut, bend, and thread pipes of various materials.Assist higher-level plumbers with soldering (sweating) pipes and connecting fittings.Clean heat exchangers and maintain shop tools, equipment, and service vehicles.Assistance & Training - 20%- Provide direct operational assistance to Plumber II and Plumber III technicians on complex tasks.
- Learn safety protocols and proper material handling.
- Document materials used and hours worked for job log entries.
Other Duties - 10%- Other duties as assigned.
Typical QualificationsExperience:- Six (6) months experience in the maintenance and repair of plumbing systems required.
- Additional experience and skills in the maintenance of various trades; HVAC, carpentry or electrical preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:- City of Warrensburg Plumber License preferred
- Must have a valid US driver's license
