Required Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent ( GED ) and experience in the installation, maintenance or repair of air, water, gas or waste disposal systems. Relevant experience may be substituted for the required diploma on a year-for-year basis. Must possess and keep a valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications : Experience working in the plumbing industry. Backflow prevention certification.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
· Performs preventive maintenance for the plumbing systems throughout the campus.
· Performs plumbing repairs as required.
· Provides plumbing work on university renovation projects.
· Promotes and ensures best safety practices are utilized per required codes.
Plumber I (KC18/61122510/ FTE -S01198P), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Grade: GEN07 . Salary range: $40,086.00 (minimum) – $54,162.00 (midpoint). Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Friday 12:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.
