Specific duties of the researcher (job description):
Didactic commitment: ownership of courses in the SSD IINF-05/A "INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEMS" in the courses of Politecnico di Bari and complementary activities in accordance with the University regulations on the legal status of teaching.
Scientific commitment: the type of commitment will concern the research themes of the IINF-05/A SSD with reference to the design and implementation of information processing systems, as well as their management and use in the various application contexts with methodologies and techniques typical of engineering. This includes the theoretical foundations, methods, and technologies suitable for producing technically valid projects, from the point of view of both the adequacy of the proposed solutions and the possibility of technical implementation as well as economic convenience and organizational effectiveness. These foundations, methods, and technologies range over all the aspects relating to a processing system, from hardware to software, from operating systems to computer networks, from databases to information systems, from programming languages to software engineering, from human-machine interaction to signal and image recognition, multimedia processing, knowledge engineering, artificial intelligence, and robotics. Furthermore, the competencies relating to the design and construction of IT systems and the various applications of processing systems, such as, for example, industrial telematic applications to socio-economic systems, fall within the scope of this sector. Specifically, the research will be active in the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and recommender systems with a methodological approach able to combine theoretical and experimental aspects with a focus on security and privacy aspects.
The research will have to produce new methods and algorithms related to the problems addressed. The results of the research must be published in prestigious international journals and in proceedings of international conferences.
Modalità di accertamento del grado di conoscenza della lingua inglese: The assessment of the level of knowledge for the English language will be considered fulfilled with the presentation of 12 publications written in English.
