Pool Operator
Job Summary
- Maintains swimming pool water quality by testing weekly and cleaning pool components. Maintains water purification systems. Maintains outdoor fountains. Cleans water filters using hose, vacuum, and power washer.
- Tests water quality in pools and water systems using water test kit. Adds chemicals to feeders as needed. Cleans outdoor fountains and strainers. Vacuums pools using pool vacuum. Drains pools when needed.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required
- 2 years large scale water maintenance system experience
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES
Required
- Valid driver's license and ability to be insured by Indiana University upon date of hire
- Ability to acquire and maintain Certified Pool Operator license within 90 days of hire
