"Pool posting - Instructor, Coaching, Health and Physical Education (non-tenure track)"

The Department of Recreation, Sport Pedagogy, and Consumer Science seeks adjunct instructors for multiple courses in the Coaching, Health & Physical Education degrees. This part-time, non-benefits eligible position involves teaching online and/or in-person undergraduate and/or graduate courses in areas such as Master of Science in Soccer Coaching Education, Master of Science in Coaching Education, Bachelor of Science in Physical Activity & Sport Coaching, and Bachelor of Science in Physical Education & Teacher Education. Responsibilities include leading class sessions, grading student work, participating in course assessment, and responding to student questions.

Minimum qualifications: Master's degree in an appropriate discipline for undergraduate courses or facilitator roles in graduate courses; terminal degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) for graduate courses; evidence of teaching experience (online or in-person).

Preferred qualifications: Educational background in Coaching and/or Health & Physical Education with professional experience as a coach or physical education teacher; teaching experience at a higher education institution; familiarity with subjects like performance and conditioning, injury prevention, elite athlete coaching, youth & sport coaching, soccer player development, motor learning, and techniques in sport.
