[POOL] PT Faculty, Women's Studies
Job Summary
This posting is for a pooled position. Application submissions for “[POOL]” positions are accepted on an ongoing basis to ensure a continuous and ready pool of qualified candidates for immediate review when the need arises. If/when a position becomes available, the College will review applications from this pool, and interview candidates whose qualifications best match the specific opening.
Applicants must reapply to the pool annually to maintain their active status in the pool.
Teaches core Women’s Studies classes.
Essential Duties
- Teach Women’s Studies Courses (WS 280).
- Act as a team member of the Social Science Department.
- Communicate the objectives of each course taught, grade according to those objectives and report student progress toward those goals.
- Work effectively with students and staff of various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and ages.
- Successfully interact with supervisors, colleagues, and staff as part of an educational team.
- Establish and maintain opportunities for reasonable out-of-class contact with students.
- Prepare course descriptions, course outlines and other material related to courses taught.
- Establish and maintain a class roll, and teach in conformance with approved course outlines.
- Participate in student appraisal of classroom learning.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
