The Rector of Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences announces an open competition for the position of Post Doc Assistant Professor (F/M/N) in the Research Staff Group at the Institute of Biology, Division of Experimental Biology, in the NCN SHENG 3 project titled “New Horizons in Tropospheric Research Using Next-Generation GNSS Systems, Satellite Constellations, and Artificial Intelligence”.

Job Description:

Tasks specified in the project funding this position:

analysis of GNSS data from ground-based and satellite platforms using artificial intelligence techniques;
conducting research in the field of GNSS data processing, including securing external funding for research projects;
disseminating research results in the form of scientific publications in journals indexed in SCOPUS or Web of Science;
participating in scientific conferences and symposia (both domestic and international);
participating in workshops and training sessions to enhance professional competencies;
participating in organizational activities for the benefit of the unit and the university;
other tasks assigned by the unit head, arising from the profile and nature of the unit and the university.

Requirements:

holds at least a doctoral degree in engineering and technical sciences or in the exact and natural sciences. In the fields of automation, electronics, electrical engineering and space technologies, civil engineering, geodesy and transportation, environmental engineering, mining and energy, computer science, Earth and environmental sciences, and physical sciences;
has a command of English at a minimum B2 level;
has a documented record of research in the field of satellite data processing published in a journal (at least one publication) from the JCR list (project requirement);
Legal Compliance: Meeting the requirements specified in Art. 113 of the Act of July 20, 2018 — Law on Higher Education and Science (full public rights, full legal capacity, clean criminal record, no disciplinary penalties).

Candidates who do not possess a certificate but meet the requirement of English proficiency at a minimum B2 level shall submit a declaration of language proficiency; verification will take place during the interview stage.

Candidates who do not hold a language certificate but meet the requirement of English proficiency at a minimum B2 level may submit a declaration confirming their English language skills. Their proficiency will be verified during the interview.
