Responsibilities The position includes general management and leadership of Caz-Rad Research Group, including mentorship of graduate and undergraduate students. Collaboration with on-going research is expected with contributions and leadership in peer reviewed paper publications and conference presentations. The position also expects the researcher to manage some of the 'day-to-day' items of lab management. This includes inspections, reports, meeting management, and reporting to the PI, additional responsibilities could be added as the need arises. Teaching within the UofU Nuclear Program could occur if the program need arises and is mutually agreed upon. Importantly, the researcher will support achievement of objectives and task of funded projects and perform the necessary in-lab research and report required to achieve deliverable in concert with others on the team. Minimum Qualifications Preferences A Ph.D. is required and must be conferred by the position start date in Nuclear Engineering, Physics, or a closely related engineering discipline. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience in radiation detection, dosimetry, and radiation effects.
